This is a limited edition, 2-Disc DVD set featuring rarely seen Disney cartoons themed to World War II. It includes educational shorts, propaganda shorts, training shorts, and entertainment shorts with several of the studio's iconic characters like Donald Duck and Pluto. There is the feature film Victory Through Air Power , which had not been reissued since it was shown theatrically in 1943. Also included are bonus features and art galleries, as well as interviews with key Disney personnel from that time. These films are a fascinating look at how Walt Disney and his animators responded to the attack on Pearl Harbor and supported the war effort.
This set was released in 2004 as part of the third series of Disney DVDs in collectible tin cases, chronicling the development of Disney's iconic characters as well as the art of film animation.
