Vintage Early 20th Century Antique M. H. PERRY Co. Lansing Michigan Solid Oak Veneer Solid Concrete Screw Down Lid Fire Proof Safety Vault
Measures roughly 14” long x 7” in diameter, weighing approximately 16 pounds. Built of solid concrete with a metal frame and oak veneer. It no longer has its key. The end-cap (in theory) is sealed to the open end of the tube via threaded concrete hole in lid and rod…please note the threading of the concrete (which fastens to the metal rod) has eroded with time and use, therefore the lid will not stay on…this could be fixed by adding some type of hard cement or putty stiff enough to hold a thread for the metal rod to fasten into. Otherwise- beautiful piece, with minor superficial wear, giving it further antique character. Sold as pictured
